The Vocational School

Four TU Delft students designed and built this earthquake-resistant vocational school. They did this In co-operation with the Napali people.

By offering job-based education, this school is responding to a great need. In doing so, they will be showing prospects for living and working in the local community. Graduates seaching for jobs won’t have to be looking for work in the city or abroad, where they will often be exploited.

Underprivileged youth (all training courses are co-educational)

  • Tailoring

Small scale farmers

  • Information and education on organic farming
  • A course in durability

 

IThis print shop is producing scribblers for the Kumari school and the Midwifery Education Program. It is printing materials for other schools as well, and for business in general. The monthly revenues pay for the cost of the printing and the salaries of two assistants. Future profits of about €300.00 per month will pay for three more vocational school employees.
